Filming speaker reel and web content with author Nicco Mele

Last week we worked with author/consultant/speaker Nicco Mele and his team to film footage for three web videos and a speaker reel. We will be editing the videos over the next few weeks.

Nicco’s first book, The End of Big: How The Internet Makes David The New Goliath, was published by St. Martin’s Press on April 23, 2013. In it, he explores the consequences of living in a socially-connected society, drawing upon his years of experience as an innovator in politics and technology. The three web videos will present the inspiration behind the book and some of its key ideas.

We make a point of reading our client authors’ featured works whenever possible, The End of Big was a good read. We found it particularly relevant to our work, because most of what we do is dependent on rapidly-evolving web-based technology and corresponding social trends. However, the ideas in this book should be of universal interest, since the internet is everywhere and affects just about every aspect of our lives.

TV Spot for Brigham-Gill Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram

Over the past few years we’ve produced numerous television commercials for Brigham-Gill Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram, based in Natick, Massachusetts.  Unlike many auto dealerships that rely on factory footage from the manufacturer, Brigham-Gill uses 100% original footage shot on location at the dealership.  This means more air time for the actual dealership, giving viewers the opportunity to see what differentiates Brigham-Gill from other dealerships.

We also like this approach because it projects confidence and transparency.  Brigham-Gill has an attractive dealership, and a substantial number and variety of vehicles on the lot, all of which is conveyed through onsite footage.  Here’s a pair of two recent spots we produced for Brigham-Gill, using onsite footage, along with a stand-up we shot at our green screen studio.

Random House Open House, December 14

New Website!

Yes, we’ve rebooted our website!

Over the past few years, new technologies and trends have dramatically
changed the landscapes of marketing, digital media, and video
production.  In order to meet the evolving needs of our clients, we
have upgraded our offerings, techniques and tools, and continue to
grow our team.

Some of our new offerings include social media video packages for
businesses, green screen studio productions, and comprehensive event
coverage.  We have also expanded our work with publishing companies,
who are using video trailers, author profiles, and book demos to
engage customers in the digital marketplace.  And we are now using the
studio to shoot music videos!

New techniques?  With the growing prevalence of mobile video viewing,
we have begun creating shots that are optimized for screens of all
sizes – from large-screen televisions to tablets and mobile devices.
And the shots we’re getting leverage new tools like large-sensor
camcorders and DSLRs, and stabilization devices such as the Glidecam
and slider dollies, all to achieve a higher production value, a more
film-like effect.

What really makes any organization, of course, is the people.  And so
we’ve expanded our in-house team and our larger network, enabling us
to offer our clients a wider array of high-quality services.

Whether your business is located in California, Toronto, Tokyo, or our
hometown of Boston, Massachusetts, we look forward to bringing you
exception videos that enable you to engage existing customers and find
new ones in the digital marketplace.

More to come, your feedback is welcome and encouraged!
